Virginity Testing, Hymenoplasty and the Law PSHE Lesson

New 2024 lesson covering virginity testing, hymenoplasty and the UK law. This is new content added into the draft RSE guidance currently being created by the DfE. Whether or not this subject is included in the final guidance when it's released, we still feel that it's an exceptionally important subject to cover. In this lesson students will discover what these terms mean, how cultural norms and traditions can dictate what we would usually perceive to be abuse upon the body of young women, why this needs to stop, where we can go for help and how the law has recently changed to make such practices illegal. Best suited to KS4 and editable.
