Risk, dares and online challenges PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the concept of risk and risk-taking. We will look at how a small element of risk applies to most everyday activities. We will discuss the steps that people commonly take to lower these everyday risks such as wearing a helmet when cycling, or carefully reading the instructions when taking prescribed medicines. We will then take a closer look at dares and online challenges. We will discuss the risks and dangers involved in a series of examples, and discuss strategies for resisting peer pressure. The lesson includes a set of discussion cards, an information sheet, a video clip activity, and clear, measurable learning outcomes. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, Includes detailed PowerPoints, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.
