In this double lesson students will explore the concept of financial exploitation, with particular regard to online scams and money laundering. They will investigate how easy it is to fall for a scam, the common techniques used by scammers and how to spot one. Students will then focus on a growing criminal industry which young people often fall victim to; money laundering. They will discover how money laundering works, what happens to the victims, the penalties, and how criminals operate to trick people and avoid detection.
