Sex and the Media PSHE
A detailed 1-2 hour lesson all about representations of sex, sexuality and sexual relationships in the modern media. The lesson focuses on the consequences and impact of TV shows such as Love Island as well as the accessibility of porn on the self-esteem and expectations of young people. It explores in detail the objectification of bodies as well as the changes in aesthetic norms in society in a structured and well-differentiated way. Best suited to KS4 or KS5.
