Diverse Relationships (LGBT+) PSHE Lesson
A new lesson covering the PSHE Association / DfE statutory content for ‘diverse relationships.’ (KS3). This lesson focuses on what all good relationships have in common and how, no matter our sexuality, we’re all seeking the same universal qualities in a good, long-term partner. The lesson also examines the additional challenges some members of the LGBT+ community have to face in order to achieve this, such as (depending on a person’s background), cultural, family or religious expectations. There is also a focus on how dating apps (and those tailored to LGBT+ individuals in particular) don’t always prioritise long-term relationship seekers and why this causes further issues for those after a committed relationship. Best suited to UKS3 or KS4.
