Growing up - an introduction to girls' puberty. A one hour lesson suitable for KS2 (Year 4 for those following the PSHE Association's Thematic model), all about girls’ puberty, written for the new 2020 PSHE Guidelines. The pack gently introduces the physical changes that girls usually encounter during puberty. This lesson predominantly focuses on menstruation and breast development and ways that these changes can be managed. The students will be introduced to different parts of female genitalia stipulated by the PSHE Association for KS2. Students will study and match up the correct scientific terms for female body parts, complete accompanying activities, a clip task, literacy and creative tasks and more.

The lesson emphasises the fact that what’s normal for one person can be different from the next. It is well-differentiated with three-level challenges for each task, contains a variety of activities, task cards, an hour long PowerPoint, an information pack, a clip with questions, a literacy focus task, clear measurable learning outcomes, new key-term introductions, and other activities.
