Fit and healthy bodies KS1 PSHE lesson.  A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for use in Year 2, or even younger students in KS2 (Year 3). In this lesson, the children will bring together everything they have learned in the preceding weeks about living a healthy lifestyle. We will discuss a full range of factors that play into a healthy lifestyle including but not limited to diet, exercise, hygiene, healthcare, and oral health. We we learn what it means to be 'physically active' and reflect on how this differs from our recommended 60 minutes of moderate daily exercise. The lesson includes a case study starter, a short video clip, a card sort discussion task, and a poster-themed plenary task. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.
