Year 3 Unit 8 - Media Awareness (FREE SOW)

Our curriculum builds progressively, leading to this Year 3 unit on Media Awareness. In this  unit, pupils will deepen their understanding of how to stay safe online and make informed choices about the content they access. They will explore how to identify reliable and unreliable sources of information, including how to fact-check what they read. Pupils will also learn about age ratings for TV, films, and video games, and why these exist. Finally, they will examine the role of the news in our lives, why it matters, and how to be responsible consumers of media.
