Year 5 Unit 1 - Digital Citizenship (FREE SOW)
Our progressive curriculum builds sequentially year-on-year, culminating in the Year 5 Digital Citizenship unit, which deepens students’ understanding of online safety, responsible behaviour, and ethical use of technology. Students will explore key concepts such as protecting personal information, navigating social media safely, identifying misinformation, and understanding the impact of their digital footprints. They will develop the confidence to make responsible online choices, respond to online risks appropriately, and understand the importance of seeking help when needed.
This free planning bundle includes a detailed scheme of work, a long-term plan showing our entire curriculum at a glance, a Year 5 roadmap clearly illustrating the progressive design across the year, and a comprehensive knowledge organiser highlighting key vocabulary and summarising the progression of skills and knowledge. It also includes British Values mapping and optional pre- and post-assessments.
