Year 5 Unit 2 - Health and Wellbeing (FREE SOW)
Our progressive curriculum builds sequentially year-on-year, culminating in the Year 5 Physical Health and Emotional Wellbeing unit, which deepens students’ understanding of healthy habits, including diet, exercise, and protecting ourselves from bacteria and viruses. Students will explore key concepts such as creating a healthy meal using the Eatwell Guide, designing a training program, identifying signs and symptoms of illness, and caring for our mental health.
This free planning bundle includes a detailed scheme of work, a long-term plan showing our entire curriculum at a glance, a Year 5 roadmap clearly illustrating the progressive design across the year, and a comprehensive knowledge organiser highlighting key vocabulary and summarising the progression of skills and knowledge. It also includes British Values mapping and optional pre- and post-assessments.
