Year 6 Unit 8 - Sex and Relationships (FREE SOW)

Our progressive curriculum builds sequentially year-on-year, culminating in this Year 6 unit that deepens students’ understanding of relationships, consent, and family life. Students will explore key concepts such as attraction and crushes, consent and bodily autonomy, starting a family (including sexual intercourse), and the responsibilities of parenting. They will reflect on how relationships and family structures evolve and learn to navigate these changes with respect, empathy, and confidence.

This free planning bundle includes a detailed scheme of work, a long-term plan showing our entire curriculum at a glance, a Year 6 roadmap clearly illustrating the progressive design across the year, and a comprehensive knowledge organiser highlighting key vocabulary and summarising the progression of skills and knowledge.
